Project Plan

In the summer of 2013 we launched a survey to solicit parent views on a possible schoolyard revitalization project, weighted against other priorities. The survey asked parents specifically if they supported the project, how important they saw this project against other projects funded by the School Council, and which elements of a yard revitalization project would be most important to them.

An overwhelming majority of survey respondents were in support of a yard revitalization project. It also received the greatest support when weighted against other priorities, followed by literacy support and funding for arts and music programs.

Based on the responses from the survey, school administration feedback, and School Council and Playground Committee members’ input, the following preliminary plan has been developed. The plan will be updated and adjusted throughout the project upon further consultations and implemented as fundraising dollars permit.
